BactiBarrier Detergent and Disinfectant - STEP 1
BactiBarrier Detergent/Disinfectant-STEP 1 is an EPA registered quat cleaner and disinfectant which is effective as a bactericide, virucide, and fungicide and is authorized for use in food preparation areas. Each gallon makes 65 ready-to-use gallons, making it an extremely affordable disinfectant and cleaner for all restoration and cleaning jobs.
The Detergent/Disinfectant is EPA approved to disinfect surfaces contaminated with Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Shigella dysenteriae, Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Influenza, HIV, Norovirus, Aspergillus niger and much more.
It is specially formulated for compatibility with our BactiBarrier Surface Protector product and both can be applied using either an electrostatic sprayer, pump up sprayer or by hand.

What is the Microbial Protection System
BactiBarrier's Microbial Protection System is a 2-step, EPA registered microbial disinfectant and protector that can be used to create LONG-TERM protection on high contact surfaces like doors, knobs, chairs, phones, exercise equipment and other surfaces where the spread of germs is a concern.
- Gyms and day-cares worry about clients getting sick and spreading germs at their facilities.
- Hospitals and clinics are terrified of patients getting life-threatening infections contracted during treatment.
- Businesses can't afford the productivity losses caused by sick employees missing work.
With public places becoming more and more crowded, and the risk of life-threatening disease a reality, there is no better time to add microbial protection services to your business.
How is it Used?
Example of BactiBarrier Surface Protector destroying bacteria through mechanical, not chemical, action.
Application of the BactiBarrier system is quick and easy:
STEP 1) Clean the surface to be treated with BactiBarrier Disinfectant: a high pH cleaner and disinfectant that will neutralize unwanted microbes. Treat the surface with enough BactiBarrier Disinfectant to ensure adequate coverage across the entire surface.
STEP 2) Apply BactiBarrier Surface Protector. An odorless, surfacebinding barrier of protection against disease-causing microbes.
Protection from microbes is complete! Because the cured antimicrobial is non-volatile, insoluble, and also non-leaching, the treatment could last up to the life of the treated surface!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT BactiBarrier™
Will BactiBarrier™ prevent mold growth from coming back?
Yes, BactiBarrier™ provides a preventative coating that inhibits future growth.
Is a combination of BactiBarrier™ Cleaner /Disinfectant and Surface Protector effective against MRSA and other bacteria?
How is BactiBarrier™ different from other treatments?
BactiBarrier™ does not leach into the atmosphere and does not permit organisms to adapt to it.
How long does it last?
The Surface Protector forms a near permanent, environmentally friendly, protective shield on almost any surface. The Surface Protector's durability is similar to that of a coat of paint. When sprayed on walls or other low-touch surfaces, it will last for years. If it is sprayed on a surface that experiences high traffic, like carpet, or is continually exposed to high pH chemicals, we recommend that the application be applied every six months to maintain adequate protection.
Is there an odor or change the feel of surfaces?
No. The application has no harmful or objectionable odors and the microscopic layer of protection is invisible and imperceptible to touch.
Is there a way to determine if the protective coating is present and working on a surface?
Yes. You may use these test strips.
Is the treatment safe for use on all surfaces?
Generally speaking, yes. We can discreetly pre-test any questionable or extremely sensitive surfaces to determine if our products will adversely affect them, but our technology has bonded safely to almost every surface that we have encountered.
How is it possible that our treatment keeps working, month after month when other treatments are only temporary?
Due to the mechanical nature of our protective technology, nothing is lost or given up as it functions. Since it does not lose anything of its essence, its efficacy does not diminish.
Are there times when I have to reapply?
Assuming that the surface is kept clean and not abused, our protection will last for the life of that surface. Some people like to have technicians reapply to high touch surfaces such as door knobs or areas that have painted or compromised in some way.
How is BactiBarrier™ applied?
Technicians can choose from a variety of application techniques.
- Pump up sprayer
- Brush or roller
It is not unusual to utilize a combination of some - or all - of the above techniques on one job.
How long does it take to perform our process?
That varies greatly, depending on the volume of space, the amount of objects present and the level of protection that you wish to achieve. Simple applications can be completed within a few hours, while other, more labor-intensive jobs may take several days.
How soon after treatment can I enter and use the treated space?
If the treatment is limited to hard surfaces, you can re-enter the premises within an hour or so. When carpeting or other soft surfaces have been treated, we usually suggest waiting a few hours for the fabric to dry.
